Oh How Time Flies!

I know, I know! Two and a half months have gone by and I haven't written! What can I say? Chasing after a little baby is CRAZY HARD work! I never thought I would get more excersize chasing after a baby then any other time! :)

So Jaybers (or as I've been calling him lately, Toots) is now 9 1/2 months old! And crawling! Can you believe it!? He is a crawling MONSTER! He LOVES to explore and go just about anywhere he pleases. He loves to play the game "Lets see how far up the stairs I can get before Mommy catches me". And then he gets mad when I put the baby gate up, hahaha! Mommy wins, always! lol.

He has also figured out, that when he's in the high chair, there is always a dog near by that would love some food. So what does he do? He grabs a handful of whatever is on his tray, and throws it to the floor for the dog(s). Or he'll grab a handful and put it on the chair next to him - which then usually falls onto the floor. It's driving me crazy! I swear, when mom cursed me with "I hope you have a kid just like you!", I got worse. This kid is SO much more stubborn then I ever was!

Last week, mom and I were sitting at the table across from eachother, and Jay wanted up on my lap, so I picked him up. He then proceeded to crawl up onto the table. Ok, no big deal. Dinner had been cleared off, and Jay wanted to see Grandma - he crawled over to her. Then Jay then starts to crawl down the long length of the table, towards the chips. Mom pulls jay away from them. Jay heads off for them again. I pull jay away from them. He heads for them AGAIN. Mom puts the chips in dads chair, I pull Jay away. Jay heads for them again. This game went on for about 5 minutes probably - and Jay NEVER gave up on getting to those chips. He wanted those chips and there was no way we were gonna stop him - he was gonna get them one way or another. lol. When this kid decides that he wants something - he goes for it. Which I guess in the long run of life, thats a good thing, right? But right now, its just stubborness, and with both of our stubbornesses (is that a word?) its double strong, lol. :)

Jay will be one years old in 2 1/2 months - and I cant believe how fast time has gone by! I still find it hard to believe sometimes that we're parents! I never thought that at 24 I'd be a mom - and loving every snotty nose, poopy diaper, screaming crying and hair wrenching moment of it :)

... speaking of poopy diapers, I smell one now, whew! So I better go. Sorry there aren't any pictures this time. The upload thing isn't working for me. I'll post some in a few days though, ok? I LOVE YOU! and BE SAFE!

Peek-A-Boo!

Jay-bers is 7 months old as of today! Our little boy is growing up SO fast! :( It kind of makes me sad!
Jayden has learned (and loves!) peek-a-boo! I would try and do it with him every now and then, and usually he would just make this face at me like "what are you doing mommy?". But now, he loves it and giggles every time you do it. When Jess finally got a recording of it, it was just before his bed time, so towards the end of the video he gets a little tired, but it's still totally adorable ...

Like I said before, he is still so close to crawling. I keep the Flip very close by so when he actually starts to crawl I'll get his first little crawls on video for you. He is also very in love with other little babies. It's like he's thinking "oh hey! Someone my size finally!". He always tries to grab their hair or legs or arms ... whatever he can get a hold of.

And Padfoot, Jess and Georges dog, he is ALWAYS grabbing at him. lol. Yesterday he got a hold of his ear and was just holding onto it and then started pulling it a little. Padfoot just let him do it too. He finally started whimpering a little, but thats it. Pretty impressive. Padfoot likes to think that everyone is always trying to play with him so I have to keep a close eye on Jay when I let him on the floor but let me tell ya, when Jay is in that walker, Padfoot runs for it! Jayden is always trying to hunt him down! lol.
So I babysat this little girl this last week, Kaydence, she is so cute. She is just over one years old - and Jay is like, 2 or 3 inches taller then her! Can you believe that!? He's 5 months younger then her and taller then her! I knew our little boy was tall, but come on! Ok, so Kay's parents are both SHORT, so she's probably gonna be short too, but still! Come on! lol. I still think he's gonna end up being like, 6'6''. hehe. And an NBA basketball player, haha. Ok, better stop before I get carried away!
Well I'm sure I'll talk to you soon. Stay safe and we love and miss you!
XOXOXO

Cookie Madness!

So our little boy needed his fingernails and toenails cut last night, so I decided to finally cut them before he scratched himself or me. I did his fingernails first and he did fine. But then I got to his toenails and he was so interested in the clipper that it was hard for me to actually cut his toenails. I had some Oreo cookies near by, so i decided to use one to my advantage. I twisted off one of the cookies and handed it to him. He, of course, immidiantly put it in his mouth and started chomping away. As I was cutting his nails, his hands and face started to get little chocolate bits on it, and then more, and then more ... and then both his hands were COVERED with slobber and chocolate, and his face had a fair share too. His stomach had a little bit, his arms and legs too, and he even managed to get his diaper. LOL.

Makes me wonder what he's gonna look like after his first birthday, lol. Cuz you know he's gonna have his own birthday cake to chomp into and make a mess out of! Haha. Hope you enjoy the pics, I sure do love you! Stay safe out there and know that your wifey and baby boy are thinking of you back home! XOXO

Our Little Walker

So Jay-bers has been mastering the walker. He loves that thing - it gives him so much mobility that he didnt have before! He goes all over the first floor of the house. At first there was that big rug in the front room, so he could only go around the outer edges, but Jess decided to put it away for a little while since they got the new puppy, so now he has free reign over the whole floor!

He's also just about to master crawling too. How crazy is that!? Our son is just days away from being 7 months old and already just about to crawl! He got his first bloody nose today though :( He was sitting on the floor and wanted to get into the crawling position and his hand slipped from beneath him and he hit his little nose on the floor, poor little guy. It didnt bleed too bad, just a little bit, but I felt so bad for him! I think I was more upset then he was! lol - pretty typical huh? haha.

Hope you have a good day sweetie. Don't work TOO hard and STAY SAFE! Love ya!

Jayden's Army Crawl

Our little boy is growing up so fast! I can hardly believe it! For the past couple of days Jay has been perfecting his version of The Army Crawl :) He even almost got up to a crawling position but he toppeled over - and that made him pretty upset, lol. But since this is one of his many milestones, I just HAD to share it with you, of course!

Isnt that just adorable? :) Can you believe he's already starting to somewhat crawl? :) Well I should get goin, Bubbas got to go down for a nap now. We sure do miss you sweetie! Stay safe and hopefully we'll talk to you soon!!

Bath Time & Play Date

So your mom sent Jayden some new little bath toys - and he sure was loving them :) He was splashing and playing - but of course whenever I tried to get a picture of him splashing he would all of a suddon just stop, lol. Just my luck. :) But I still got some cute pictures, so that's all that matters! He is definitly learning to LOVE bath time. He still gets a little nervous when I first put him in the bath, takes a few big breaths, but once he's in, he has fun. He's learning that when he moves his arms up and down and hits the water, it splashes - which in turn makes him blink real fast and scrunch up his nose when the water hits his face. It's cute. Definitely more fun then when he would scream and cry the whole time, lol.

We went over to Diana's house last week also - she was begging for me to come over so she could see Jayden again. Even though Dafnie is a month and a half older then Jayden, they are practically the same size. It was fun to watch them together - they would just sit and watch eachother and giggle and squeel ... you would think that neither of them have ever seen another little baby. lol. It was fun to let him actually play with another baby ... I love to watch his little expressions, I think its so adorable :)

Laura also had her baby. I know I told you that already - but if you want, you can visit her blog and see our new little neice. At the top of this page is a link to her blog ... "Mr & Mrs Darcy" is the name of it I believe. She is adorable! Also - Nakia had her baby too. She sent us an announcement so I'll scan that and send it to you also. Another little nephew to add to our list, haha. Anywho - I should get going. I love you and I hope that you're having a good day. Be safe and know that you're ALWAYS in my thoughts!

Jay is 6 Months Old!

Jayden had his 6 month appointment on August 27th, exactly 6 months old :) We got to see our regular doctor, Dr Walsh. He is such a good doctor, a little spiradic, but a great doctor. Jayden now weighs 17 pounds, and is 26 1/2 inches tall. So that translates into ... hes in the 53%-tile for weight and 76%-tile for height... which means he weighs more then 3% of other boys his age and 26% taller then other 6 month old boys. So he's tall and skinny - just like his daddy ;) hehe. Doesnt surprise me - he LOOKS just like his daddy, why wouldnt he take after him in that department also? lol. I also took some pictures of him - he looks so cute. Dad is .. "editing" a picture or two for me, so I'll send those to you too when dad is done - I think you'll like 'em :) Here are a few pictures for you:

Dr Walsh also said that Jay is "talking" as much as a 9 month old should be. He said he also thinks that by the time Jay is 1 years old, he will actually being talking and putting two words together, like "thank you" or "cup please" ... etc etc. We have one smart little baby, beebes :) Oh, and ... this is so cute ... Jay is getting so good at walking in one of those walker things that have wheels on it. Still struggeling just a little, but hes getting good. He will roll right over to where the kids are playing with their Legos and just sit and stare at them - and every once in awhile he'll let out a little excited screech and then get back to staring again. But he is definitly learning how to get around the house, the first floor at least, all by himself :) Like I said, one smart little cookie. Trevor has also noticed that I call Jay "Bubbas" and has also started calling him that. I thought it was adorable. Isn't he growing so quickly? I can hardly believe he's already 6 months old! It seriously seems like last week we were bring him home from the hospital! Amazing how much time flies by, huh? Anywho, I'll write again soon - I sure do love you sweetie! XOXOXO

Jay-bers Vacation to Colorado

So Jay had his first plane ride, and he did SO good! Jay got a formula bottle taking off, a juice bottle landing and taking off from Salt Lake City (more like, 1/2 bottle each time I suppose) and then another formula bottle landing into Denver and that seemed to do the trick so he wouldn't cry and his ears wouldn't hurt him. :) After the plane rides, we got our rental car where Jay sat in his little stroller and just sat and stared and chatted with anyone that would like at him. It was adorable. So we got there on Tuesday the 12th and on the 14th we headed up to Pagosa for camping - babe you should've seen Jay, he loved it! He got to spend so much time out doors so of course he was absolutely loving it!! My cousins Brenda and Royce brought their kids and oh-my-goodness! Those girls LOVED Jayden. They were always fighting over him and wanting to hold him. It was adorable ... some of the girls were a little young, so they had to sit in chairs and hold him, but it was still so cute. And, Jayden finally got to wear one of those warm outfits your mom bought him. The arms were a little long, so we rolled them up but would un-roll them when it was time for him to go to bed. He looked amazingly cute in it. He would still try to eat his hands through the fabric though, so i had to pay extra attention to him so he wouldnt have wet hands when he went to bed. lol. I think towards the end of the camping trip he was starting to get a little annoyed of being held so much though - he kept trying to squirm out of everyones arms and when I finally got a chance to lay him down in the camper he seemed so happy and content, lol. After 2 nights of camping we went back to my aunts house and spent the rest of the time there. Mom and I made scones and the breakfast casserole for dinner Sunday night and everyone loved it, of course! Monday night, my unlce Mondello came over with his son Morgan and wife Glenna. Mondello wanted to hold Jayden so bad but he had just recently been in a bad motorcycle accident and wasnt able to hold him. Morgan and Glenna loved holding him though. He SERIOUSLY smiled and giggled at practically everyone - he was the star of the vacation babe, seriously! So on Tuesday early morning we started heading back up to Denver. Again - Jay did so good. He slept all the way there and he only made one little peep at 8:30 - I had to flip around in my seat and check on him cuz I wasn't sure if he was actually awake or not. He did great on these flights also - but the flight from Denver to Salt Lake City was delayed so he was a little more restless on that flight, but still did good. We sat on the tarmac for 1 1/2 hours - I was SO ready to get out of that plane when it finally landed! ugh! So since that flight was delayed we missed our connecting flight and I ALMOST had to wait until 9:30pm for the next flight to Seattle, but thankfully some guy got claustrophobic in the small plane and refused to ride on that plane - so I got to go on the 5 o'clock flight instead! :) And then the Navy guy that was supposed to sit next to me graciously switched with mom so she could sit next to me. Oh babe! There was this couple sitting behind mom and I that had a little girl a week and a half older then Jay and those two were SO excited to see each other. They would smile and giggle and squeal at each other and then it would start all over again. :) It was so precious babe, I wish you could've been there!

Jay seems to have sprouted just in the 3 weeks you've been gone babe. It seems like when you left he was fitting into outfits perfectly and now, it seems like he's already grown out of them! He was wearing 0-3 months before, and now it seems like he's skipped over the 3-6 and gone straight to the 6-9 months! I don't understand how he could've grown so much in such a short amount of time! But he has! And it seems like ever since we got back from vacation, that Jay has been SO good at taking his naps during the day too. Talk about a growth spurt going on! And eating - oh my gosh babe! He will have a whole thing of Gerber baby food and then have 4-6 ounces of formula after that too! He is freaking eating and sleeping machine! *shaking head* it's crazy! I do LOVE having him on a schedule though, it makes it so much easier to know what he wants or needs. You should be proud of him *nodding* :) Well I should get going - I'll write again soon!! XOXOXO

A Day At The Park

So Jay and I went to Jefferson Park about a week or so before we went toColorado. It was a lot of fun :) All the aunts came (except Claire) and so did all the cousins. All the older kids played in the water fountains while the younger ones just played/layed on blankets. It was hot out, but not TOO hot. The weather was beautiful and just perfect for a day at the park :) Jay was having so much fun he totally zonked out towards the end, just couldn't keep his open even though he was trying so hard!

Jay, Jessi & I having fun :)

Hannah & Jay talking to eachother :)

Jay "posing" for the camera ... hehe

I wish you could've been there babe - it would've been the PERFECT day at the park if you had been there. We would've been "one happy family" a day at the park :) ;) We'll definitely have to do it again when you get home next summer!
