A couple stories :)

Jayden is now a full fledge walker! The only time he crawls is when he falls down and needs to get to something to pull himself back up, or if he REALLY wants to get to something as quick as he can and walking just isn't fast enough, lol. He is getting so good at it though. He looks like a little zombie when he walks still - arms stretched out in front of him to balance himself. I keep trying to take a picture of him like that, arms stretched out, but every time he sees me he stops and drops his arms and smiles ... little camera ham that he is, lol. So I will try and catch him by surprise. :) He is pretty dang good at catching himself and re-balancing himself before he falls on the floor now though. It's so cute to watch him, cuz you can tell that he's trying to concentrate so he wont fall over. lol.

He has started a new little thing - he doesnt like for me to feed him unless I'm feeding him something with a spoon. Other then that - he wants to do it himself. I put something, anything, in his mouth, and he will spit it out and then grab another piece of whatever I'm feeding him and put that in his mouth. lol. I don't know why he does that, part of growing up and claiming his independence I suppose. :) All the parent websites that I'm a "member" of say that this is pretty normal, so I guess I'm not all that worried ;) haha. Haven't braved giving him a spoon and bowl just yet - too scared to do that! Maybe one day soon, but definitely not too soon!

So I went grocery shopping with my mom the other day and this little man was reeeeaaaachiiiiinnnnng for EVERYTHING that he could. Even with the strap around him he would lean as far as he could and try to grab whatever was closest. FInally, my mom handed him a bag of chocolates that she was buying so he could play with it. He looked at it for a while and played with it in his hands, and then decided he was done with it, so he threw it on the floor. Not dropped, THREW. lol. So I picked it up and handed it back to him. He threw it back down. I picked it up, told him not to throw it again, and handed it back to him. What did he do? He looked at me, grinned, and then threw it back on the floor. lol. So i picked it up and put it in the basket behind him. That little man turned around and reached for it, and grabbed it, looked at it for a half a second, and then threw it on the ground again. I couldnt help but laugh. So i finally put it as far away in the basket as i could from him. He turned around, looked at what was in the basket, and grabbed a bag of vegetable and the whole game started again. haha. I wish you could've heard his little giggles, he thought it was soooo funny. Every time I put his current bag/game piece in the back of the basket he would grab something new - didn't matter what it was. He once even grabbed a produce bag that had 2 or 3 sweet potatoes in it. He almost threw it too, but mom caught it just in time before he could actually throw it. lol.

I put him down for a nap the other day, and then went into my room to clean up the mess that he had made, and he cried for all of ... oh, i dunno ... 10 seconds when he stopped. He usually doesn't cry long, but definitely longer then 10 seconds, so i was a little suspicious. I went into his room to see what he was doing - and he had grabbed his baby monitor and pulled it into the crib with him and was playing with it. I took it from him, laid him back down, put the baby monitor back on the basket it was sitting on but farther away this time and went back into my room. Again, he cried for 5 or so seconds and then it was really quiet again. I went back in there to find him in his bed with the baby monitor again. lol. But this time, he had pulled the lid of the basket closer to his crib and THEN grabbed the monitor. lol. He is so smart, I can hardly believe it. :)

Jaybers is a Walking Machine!!

Jaybers is starting to get more confident in walking! He is doing it more and more often which is good, but it scares me! lol. So I finally got a video for you to watch! Here you go! ...

... he is getting so good at it, huh?! He loves to push things around too - whether its a chair from the table, or his sound table (its a little "table" that has different sound makers on it, and it does music or other sounds on it) or the computer chair, whatever he can find! lol. I think he will definitely be just walking by his birthday if he keeps this pace up! ;) :)

I'll talk to you soon! I love you!

Our Lil Tazmanian

Merry (late) Christmas and Happy New Year!

Jayden has a special way of going through the house - and leaving a nice little mess trail behind him. I can always tell where he's been by things that are out of its place. He LOVES to pull the pillows off the couches, the blankets off the back of the couches, dump the dog food and/or water from the dog bowls, the books (as many as he can get to and reach), spreading Padfoots toys all over the front room, empty the diaper bag which sits on a chair by the back door, jars, lids and Tupperware from the bottom drawers in the kitchen, all the kid cups and water pitchers from the drawer and cupboard that is of course in his reach, and then scattering everything that he possibly can in the play room. lol. I almost feel like all I do anymore is go around the house cleaning up behind him ;)

Our little man has started to master walking :) He is getting more and more confident and brave everyday - taking more and more steps at once. The farthest he's gone so far I think it 8 or 9 feet - pretty impressive for a 10 1/2 month old I think! The kids (the Tart kids) keep asking that if Jay is walking good enough by his birthday if we're still gonna go to Charlie Safari ... I told them no and that we'll probably go next year for his 2nd b-day when you can be there. I want him to be able to play in all the toys and everything with you :)

There are 2 chairs that we keep by the back door and he loves to stand in front of them and push them along - anywhere he might be wanting to go. Its so cute. He loves to do that with the vacuum too when its out. He used to do it with a little toy shopping cart, but he hasnt used that often anymore. He LOVES to play in Padfoots kennel too. I don't know why, but he does. He will crawl in there and then play with the gate/door and just talk and talk and talk. Its so cute. I thought it was so funny.

His vocabulary is also growing. As you know he can say mama and dada, and I swear I heard him say "bye" last night. We were at the store and the clerk was just in love with him so when we were leaving I told Toots to "say bye bye" which usually he just waves, but he started waving and i Swear I heard him say "byyyyeee". I was shocked. Totally excited, but shocked :) He is also getting to where he likes to feed himself. If I feed him something and he thinks he could've done it better, he will spit it out, and then grab the same thing, (but a different slice usually) and put it in his mouth again. Little terd ;) just likes to defy mommy already, and hes not even a year old!

He LOVES to play with the little bear your mom got him for Christmas. It has a couple of songs on there and he has even started "dancing" when he hears them. He also claps his hands when he hears the "paddy cake" song. It is SO gosh darn cute. Jared and Marcus also got a soft rubber bowling set, and he LOVES to steal the pins from them when they play. They get mad at him, but I think its hillarious and just laugh :) hehe, I know, evil right?

Well I should get going. I hope you have/had a good day and I'm sure I'll talk to you soon! I hope you liked all the pictures this time!! I LOVE YOU! xoxoxoxoxoxo
