A couple stories :)

Jayden is now a full fledge walker! The only time he crawls is when he falls down and needs to get to something to pull himself back up, or if he REALLY wants to get to something as quick as he can and walking just isn't fast enough, lol. He is getting so good at it though. He looks like a little zombie when he walks still - arms stretched out in front of him to balance himself. I keep trying to take a picture of him like that, arms stretched out, but every time he sees me he stops and drops his arms and smiles ... little camera ham that he is, lol. So I will try and catch him by surprise. :) He is pretty dang good at catching himself and re-balancing himself before he falls on the floor now though. It's so cute to watch him, cuz you can tell that he's trying to concentrate so he wont fall over. lol.

He has started a new little thing - he doesnt like for me to feed him unless I'm feeding him something with a spoon. Other then that - he wants to do it himself. I put something, anything, in his mouth, and he will spit it out and then grab another piece of whatever I'm feeding him and put that in his mouth. lol. I don't know why he does that, part of growing up and claiming his independence I suppose. :) All the parent websites that I'm a "member" of say that this is pretty normal, so I guess I'm not all that worried ;) haha. Haven't braved giving him a spoon and bowl just yet - too scared to do that! Maybe one day soon, but definitely not too soon!

So I went grocery shopping with my mom the other day and this little man was reeeeaaaachiiiiinnnnng for EVERYTHING that he could. Even with the strap around him he would lean as far as he could and try to grab whatever was closest. FInally, my mom handed him a bag of chocolates that she was buying so he could play with it. He looked at it for a while and played with it in his hands, and then decided he was done with it, so he threw it on the floor. Not dropped, THREW. lol. So I picked it up and handed it back to him. He threw it back down. I picked it up, told him not to throw it again, and handed it back to him. What did he do? He looked at me, grinned, and then threw it back on the floor. lol. So i picked it up and put it in the basket behind him. That little man turned around and reached for it, and grabbed it, looked at it for a half a second, and then threw it on the ground again. I couldnt help but laugh. So i finally put it as far away in the basket as i could from him. He turned around, looked at what was in the basket, and grabbed a bag of vegetable and the whole game started again. haha. I wish you could've heard his little giggles, he thought it was soooo funny. Every time I put his current bag/game piece in the back of the basket he would grab something new - didn't matter what it was. He once even grabbed a produce bag that had 2 or 3 sweet potatoes in it. He almost threw it too, but mom caught it just in time before he could actually throw it. lol.

I put him down for a nap the other day, and then went into my room to clean up the mess that he had made, and he cried for all of ... oh, i dunno ... 10 seconds when he stopped. He usually doesn't cry long, but definitely longer then 10 seconds, so i was a little suspicious. I went into his room to see what he was doing - and he had grabbed his baby monitor and pulled it into the crib with him and was playing with it. I took it from him, laid him back down, put the baby monitor back on the basket it was sitting on but farther away this time and went back into my room. Again, he cried for 5 or so seconds and then it was really quiet again. I went back in there to find him in his bed with the baby monitor again. lol. But this time, he had pulled the lid of the basket closer to his crib and THEN grabbed the monitor. lol. He is so smart, I can hardly believe it. :)
